After driving for a while we stopped in Nelson, a pretty, well-kept, touristy town, and strolled around for a while. We then had lunch just past Nelson in a park along the beach, and went for a walk on the beach. After another few stops for groceries and fuel we headed in the direction of Collingwood, the nearest town to the Heaphy Track which we will start walking in two days. We ended up staying at a very nice Top 10 holiday park (the real thing) about halfway to Collingwood. I did some laundry, most of which line dried in the three hours of so before we went to bed (you can't beat the smell of line-dried laundry!), and we did more work on the blog.
